Travel

Early on we made a choice to eat in and curtail shopping in general so we could travel. The older I get (60 looms as I write), the more grateful I am for that decision; all those memories with my husband and daughters, and now their husbands and two grandchildren, are so precious.

Our favorite spots to visit (and cook!) are Estes Park, Colorado (where we completed construction on a vacation rental in 2013), Paris (a vacation rental apartment owned by my sister and her husband), and Poggio Verde Country Villa in Italy (a magnificent villa between Milan and Como that my sister and her husband recently renovated and which now provides a home base for groups arriving for a week-long trips to experience the wonders of Northern Italy).
